At Tianjin Xinnuo Machinery, we follow a systematic and efficient nail production process that ensures high output, consistent quality, and cost-effective manufacturing. Below is a detailed overview of how nails are produced from raw materials to final shipment.
We begin by sourcing high-quality low-carbon steel wire rods (typically Q195 or SAE1008) from certified suppliers. Each batch undergoes visual inspection and chemical analysis to ensure compliance with production standards. Proper material quality ensures nail strength and consistency throughout the manufacturing cycle.
Using state-of-the-art straight-line wire drawing machines, the steel wire is drawn from its original diameter (usually 5.5mm or 6.5mm) down to the desired size (e.g., 2.0–4.5mm) for nail production.
The process includes:
Surface cleaning (acid pickling or mechanical descaling)
Phosphating and lubrication
Multi-pass wire drawing through tungsten carbide dies
This step ensures a smooth, uniform wire with high tensile strength, ready for precision nail forming.
Our core machines—such as the XND Series High-Speed Nail Making Machines (HS-50, HS-90, etc.)—are capable of producing up to 800 nails per minute.
Main operations include:
Automatic feeding and wire straightening
Cutting to exact nail length
Nail head shaping (round, flat, or customized)
Pointing and chamfering
These machines are built with vibration-damping designs, dual dies, and servo systems for accuracy, durability, and speed.
After forming, the nails are transferred to polishing machines with a mix of sawdust, wax, or other media.
This removes surface burrs, enhances shine, and improves corrosion resistance. Polishing typically lasts 1–2 hours depending on the nail type.
Heat Treatment: Applied to high-strength nails (e.g., concrete nails) to enhance hardness.
Galvanizing / Zinc Plating / Painting: Used for roofing nails, outdoor nails, or decorative nails to resist rust and improve appearance.
Glue Application: For coil nails or strip nails to ensure proper fastening during use.
All nails undergo automatic sorting systems to remove defective nails (e.g., bent, short, or head-misaligned).
We conduct random inspections for:
Nail dimensions and tolerance
Straightness and tip sharpness
Surface quality and coating thickness
Advanced tools like calipers, hardness testers, and magnetic selectors ensure consistent product quality.
We offer flexible packaging options to meet global customer demands:
Bulk Packaging: 25kg or 50kg bags
Retail Packaging: 1kg or 5kg boxes, plastic bags, color cartons
Export Ready: Labeled cartons with shrink wrap, pallets, and custom branding
Each package is labeled with product type, size, weight, lot number, and country of origin.
Finished products are stored in organized warehouses awaiting shipment. For export orders, our team assists in preparing all necessary documentation including packing lists, invoices, and certificates of origin. We support both containerized and LCL shipping worldwide.
High Automation & Output: Machines like HS-90 and HS-130 reduce labor needs and maximize efficiency
Precision Engineering: Dual-die design and high-quality components ensure accuracy and low defect rates
Versatile Applications: Nails can be customized for wood, concrete, roofing, furniture, and other industries
End-to-End Service: From raw material handling to final packaging, we offer complete factory solutions
